Derek Kilmer to Kick Off His 2010 Campaign for State Senator

Gig Harbor, WA, -Derek Kilmer's second campaign kick-off will be held in Gig Harbor on June third, at Kensington Gardens, on 3804 Olsen Drive NW. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will end at 8:30 p.m.
Kilmer has been Washington's 26th District Senator for four years and has decided to run again. As a legislator, Derek Kilmer was the Washington Economic Development Association's Leader of the Year three times. For his fight to save the WAVE Scholarship, Kilmer was named Vocational Education Legislator of the Year. Also, Kilmer was the WACOPS Legislator of the Year, in 2008, for his sponsorship of a law to improve the LEOFF 2 system.
"As you know, I did not run for office to be something; rather, I ran because I wanted to do something. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I feel strongly that we’ve got plenty more to do," said Kilmer.
